1) Buying fossil fuel as mineral rights to keep it in the ground,
2) Hiring people willing to work to make and/or install renewable energy equipment to harness wind, solar, geothermal, any other renewable energy,
3) Capturing CO2 to use as fracking/hydraulic/heat-transfer fluid,
4) Desalinating seawater and/or brackish water to use for irrigation.
It won't likely overheat our economy to keep people working, employed as much as possible. How could it?
